Terms and Conditions
Booking & Reservation
To secure a charter booking, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total charter fee is required at the time of reservation. Bookings are not confirmed until this deposit is received and acknowledged in writing by Solara Maldives.
Payment Schedule

Deposit: 50% due upon booking to confirm the reservation.

Balance: Remaining 50% due before departure of the guests.

Last-Minute Bookings: For charters booked within 1 day of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Payments can be made via:

Please note: Bank or transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.
Inclusions & Exclusions
The charter fee includes:

Use of the vessel for the agreed duration
-
Licensed captain and qualified crew
-
Fuel for the planned itinerary
-
Services under the Complimentary basis
-
Basic beverages and meals (during the trip)
Exclusions (charged separately if applicable):

Catering or special meal/beverages outside meal times

Alcoholic beverages
-
Additional cruising hours, fuel surcharges, or route changes, diving gears

Dockage or mooring fees outside the base port

Green Tax

GST
-
Gratuities for crew (typically 10–20% recommended)
Cancellations & Refund Policy

Cancellation more than 15 days before departure: Full refund of any payments made.

Cancellation between 6–10 days before departure: 50% of the total charter fee will be refunded.

Cancellation less than 1 day before departure or no-show: No refund will be issued.

Operator cancellation (e.g., mechanical issue or unsafe weather): A full refund or rescheduling option will be offered at no extra charge.
Weather Policy
Safety is our top priority. The captain reserves the right to modify or cancel the charter due to weather or sea conditions deemed unsafe.

If cancellation occurs before departure due to weather, a full refund or rescheduling will be provided.

If the trip is shortened after departure for safety reasons, a pro-rated refund may be offered at the company’s discretion.
Late Payments & Non-Payment
Failure to make payment by the due date may result in the automatic cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of any deposits paid. A late payment fee of 2% may be applied for overdue balances.
Changes to Itinerary or Schedule
Requested changes to itinerary, departure times, or destinations are subject to captain’s approval and may incur additional charges based on fuel, docking, or time extensions.
Liability & Insurance
All passengers participate in the charter at their own risk. Solara maintains appropriate vessel and passenger liability insurance, but guests are encouraged to obtain personal travel or trip cancellation insurance for additional protection.
Conduct Onboard
Guests must follow all crew instructions and safety regulations. The captain reserves the right to terminate the charter without refund in cases of reckless behavior, excessive intoxication, or violation of maritime laws.
Governing Law
These payment terms and charter conditions are governed by the laws of Maldives, and any disputes shall be settled in the jurisdiction of Maldives.
